Welcome

A MESSAGE FROM TIMOTHY E. HOEKSEMA, CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF MIDWEST AIRLINES

The New Midwest Airlines — Set for Takeoff

As you’ve likely heard, Midwest Airlines is in the process of reshaping your airline to adapt to the effects of extraordinarily high fuel prices. Important elements of this work include a new flight schedule and the introduction of Midwest Class on Midwest Airlines flights. I’d like to share details of those initiatives with you today.

You’ll be pleased to know that our new schedule retains service to 32 destinations, including key business destinations and cities on both coasts. With the retirement of our MD-80 aircraft, all Midwest Airlines destinations will now be served by our Boeing 717 fleet. West Coast cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle/ Tacoma will include a stop in Kansas City. Please refer to the route map on pages 126-127 of this issue or log on to midwestairlines.com to view or print a complete timetable.

Another facet of the new Midwest Airlines is the introduction of Midwest Class, which takes off Oct. 21. Midwest Class will offer a choice of seating in the same aircraft cabin and “The best care in the air” for all. Forty wide, two-across Signature seats will feature even more legroom than today and be complemented by 59 newly designed Recaro Saver seats, uniquely engineered to provide maximum space between your knees and the row in front. Your options for choosing a seat will expand, as well. Travelers paying higher-value refundable fares will be assigned a Signature seat, if available, at no additional charge. Or, find the lowest available fare and secure your Signature seat for a modest fee at time of booking. You’ll also be able to choose Signature seating when you check in. More information about Midwest Class is available at midwestairlines.com/choice.

Going forward, the unique culture of personal attention that has always defined Midwest Airlines will remain. We continue to employ people who genuinely care about providing you with quality service, and we are as committed to making your travel experience a satisfying one as we were when we first took to the skies 24 years ago.

Your support and loyalty during these challenging times is both heartwarming and vital to our future success. Please continue to book Midwest Airlines with confidence. We look forward to welcoming you aboard again in the near future.
