Welcome

The Holiday Spirit of Generosity and Thanksgiving

A MESSAGE FROM TIMOTHY E. HOEKSEMA, CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF MIDWEST AIRLINES

This issue of MyMidwest shares a variety of ways you can celebrate the holidays through giving and volunteering. It’s an approach to celebrating that’s near to my heart and reflective of the spirit and culture of Midwest Airlines.

Our everyday approach to service starts with a giving, caring attitude. Our more than 3,000 employees work hard each day to provide you with a better flight experience. Not surprisingly, you’ll find these same employees volunteering and supporting worthy causes in their own neighborhoods and yours, both on their own, and as part of Midwest Airlines’ community involvement.

A recent event held outside our Milwaukee maintenance facility is a prime example. The “Bob & Brian Plane Pull for MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer)” drew a record number of teams vying to pull a Midwest MD-80 aircraft a short distance in the fastest time. The event—with the help of many Midwest employees—drew hundreds of spectators and raised a significant amount for a great cause.

We’ve spent 23 years doing our best to care for customers and their communities because it’s simply how we do business. It seems to be a big part of the tremendous customer loyalty we enjoy. This was never more apparent than during 2007, when your outpouring of support was not only overwhelming, but also heartwarming.

For this, we can only think of one more thing to give: a simple and sincere thank you.

Please accept our wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.
