It’s All About Our Customers.
A MESSAGE FROM TIMOTHY E. HOEKSEMA, CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF MIDWEST AIRLINES
At Midwest Airlines we have long known the best way to please our customers is to listen to what they have to say. In fact, it is in direct response to customer requests that we will soon be offering a dual-seating option on our Saver Service. Introduced in 2003, Midwest Airlines Saver Service offers convenient flights and very competitive fares to popular vacation destinations. Configured with two-by-three seating on our MD-80 aircraft, the service offers the same generous legroom found on our Signature Service and, of course, the same onboard amenities. It’s become a huge hit with leisure travelers seeking low fares and one of the roomiest coach seats in the industry when traveling to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco and cities in Florida.
As it turns out, these routes now carry a fair number of business passengers and other travelers who simply enjoy the extra space found on our two-by-two Signature Service. Therefore, starting this fall our Saver Service will also offer 12 wide Signature seats arranged in three rows of two-by-two. And all seats on our MD-80 aircraft—both Signature and Saver—will be covered in our trademark brown leather.
Frequent customer requests have also resulted in the addition of new destinations to our route map. Just in the past few months, we have launched service to Duluth/Superior, Seattle/Tacoma, Raleigh/Durham and Colorado Springs.
Our customers not only talk to us about the service we offer, they also tell others, which has resulted in two more “best” awards for our airline. Readers of Travel+Leisure recognized Midwest Airlines as “Top Domestic Airline for Service” in the magazine’s 2007 World’s Best Service readers’ poll. The magazine’s subscribers have named Midwest Airlines the top service provider three of the four years this award has been given. Meanwhile, our Midwest Miles program earned a Freddie Award for Best Customer Service for the second year in a row. Chosen by frequent flyers worldwide, the Freddie Awards recognize excellence in frequent travel programs.
