Take me out to the ball game.
A MESSAGE FROM TIMOTHY E. HOEKSEMA, CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF MIDWEST AIRLINES
The baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies you enjoy on Midwest flights may soon become your favorite ballpark snack. Beginning this season, Midwest Airlines’ popular chocolate chip cookies will be available at concession stands at both Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, and Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals.
The cookies are a tasty addition to our position as the official airline of the Brewers and Royals ball clubs, and are part of a larger sponsorship that includes home plate and outfield signage in both parks, as well as broadcast sponsorships.
Additionally, during Brewers home games two fans are selected at random to sit in our “Best Care” seats, enjoy an outstanding diamond view and be spotlighted on the stadium scoreboard. If you will be in the Milwaukee area on Saturday, May 19, we’d love to have you join us at Midwest Airlines Night at Miller Park when the Brewers take on the Minnesota Twins. The first 30,000 fans will receive a folding seat cushion, imprinted to look like our comfortable leather seats. There will also be ticket giveaways and other promotions, and “Chip,” our popular cookie mascot, will make an appearance.
In Kansas City, we underwrite the Midwest Airlines Crown Club for those seated in the area just behind home plate. We also sponsor a trivia contest in the sixth inning of many games, giving a Royals fan the chance to win chocolate chip cookies for his or her entire row and a pair of roundtrip Midwest Airlines tickets. The contest is always great fun, with questions like “How many miles will the Royals fly to road games this year?”
Speaking of road trips, Midwest Airlines has for a number of years provided charter travel for the Brewers and Royals for all of their away games. Players travel in style aboard our dedicated charter jets featuring 74 two-by-two wide leather seats with extra legroom and increased recline capabilities. The jets are outfitted with club seating and 21-inch flat screen monitors. Food and beverage service is custom-designed to meet the team’s requirements.
The Brewers and Royals organizations know we will provide “The best care in the air,” so players arrive at games relaxed and ready to play ball. We hope that you, too, know you can count on us to provide the travel experience that allows you to arrive at your destination ready for whatever the day may bring.
In fact, we’re making it easier than ever for you to get where you need to go by significantly improving our flight schedule. In the coming months, we’re launching new nonstop service between Milwaukee and both Raleigh/Durham and Seattle/Tacoma; between Kansas City and Colorado Springs, Columbus and Madison; and between Omaha and Los Angeles. We’re also increasing flight frequency in numerous existing markets and upgrading flights to larger aircraft in many others.
These schedule enhancements, and more yet to be announced, are the result of requests from travelers like you. Please let us know how we are doing by dropping us a line at mymidwest@midwestairlines.com or by filling out the comment card located between pages 90 and 91.
Thank you for flying with us today. We sincerely appreciate your business and look forward to welcoming you aboard again very soon.
