We’ve earned our reputation as “The best care in the air” by providing travelers with impeccable service and onboard amenities at competitive fares. Our commitment to offering personal, attentive service both on the ground and in the air has earned us national and international recognition from frequent travelers and the airline industry, including Travel+Leisure magazine and the Zagat Airline Survey —which have consistently rated Midwest Airlines the best airline in the United States. Be assured that we’ll do everything possible to provide you an outstanding travel experience every time you fly with us.
OUR SERVICE AND FLEET
One size does not fit all. That’s why Midwest offers different products to meet the varying needs of our customers.
Midwest Airlines Signature Service
Featuring our new Boeing 717 aircraft, Signature Service offers nonstop service to business destinations. The most comfortable coach seat in the sky provides 2-by-2 comfort and generous legroom, with adjustable headrests and footrests.
Midwest Airlines Saver Service
Focused on the leisure traveler, Saver Service offers nonstop service to leisure destinations. Seating is 2-by-3 on MD-80 aircraft, with the same generous legroom as Signature Service.
Midwest Connect
Our Skyway Airlines subsidiary operates a fleet Fairchild 328JET regional jets and Beech 1900D turboprop aircraft. SkyWest Airlines operates a fleet of Canadair regional jets. Midwest Connect offers service from Milwaukee and Kansas City.
SNACKS, MEALS AND BEVERAGES
Most Midwest Airlines and Midwest Connect flights include complimentary snack service, with our popular baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies served on afternoon and evening flights. Midwest Airlines flights and some Midwest Connect flights also offer Best Care Cuisine, a buy-onboard meal program that provides the option of purchasing from a distinctive menu of contemporary and flavorful selections featuring fresh ingredients.
On Midwest flights, you may only consume alcohol provided by us and served by our flight attendants. Alcohol will be served only to passengers 21 and older.
In accord with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, we cannot serve alcohol to passengers who appear intoxicated.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Your safety is our highest priority. Both Midwest Airlines and Midwest Connect have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence Diamond Award—the Federal Aviation Administration’s highest honor—in recognition of exemplary maintenance training. We are committed to maintaining and improving upon the enhanced security measures that have been imposed by the Transportation Security Administration.
CELLULAR PHONES
Cellular phones (digital/analog) may only be used when the aircraft is at the gate and the boarding door is open or when the aircraft is on the ground away from the gate and the captain has approved their use. An announcement will be made when cell phone use is permitted.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES
All portable electronic devices must remain off during taxi, takeoff, approach and landing, and until the aircraft arrives at the gate and the seatbelt sign is turned off. During flight, a uniformed crewmember will tell you when you may use portable electronic devices. Do not use the following equipment during flight: two-way pager, radio, television set, remote-controlled game or toy, and cordless computer mouse. Any personal communications device that uses radio transmission (for example, a CB radio) is prohibited, because these devices may interfere with the aircraft’s communication and navigation systems.
